When they were firing, there were loud booms that rattled the windows. Wilbur became increasingly sensitive to this sound, and they were unpredictable, although reading other people's descriptions (and Debbie's) I don't know that this would be categorised as noise sensitivity. He would bark at the sound, but no other signs - once the sound stopped, he went back to resting. He does this to thunder, fireworks, and the icecream truck tune too. 00:44:37 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Reacted to "We were within heari..." with ❤️ 00:46:19 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Replying to "We were within heari..." To Debbies hypothesis I that not being able to figure out where the noise comes from can be part of the ‘fear’. Littlegirl cant work out where the sirens are coming from, so cant work out how to move away. The increase and decrease in siren sound could even make it sound like the sound is moving closer, then moving away. And we have zero response to any sound on a speaker…. I hadn’t thought of that with emergency vehicles. In our case the sirens are not actually moving - the siren is from the fire station (think of an air raid siren in a movie) It is MUCH louder than a usual siren on a vehicle. It can sound up to 15 times before it is answered and stops. 01:19:34 Filomena Reyes: Rey (my rescued doggie) would love a treat party 😂 he is so scared of loud noises (abused by previous owner -male) which he also he is scared of 😥 01:19:50 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Video working okay for everyone 01:19:53 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: ? 01:19:56 Joanie Benge: Reacted to "Video working okay f…" with 👍 01:19:59 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Reacted to "Rey (my rescued dogg..." with ❤️ 01:19:59 Belinda Young: I have a video of Wilbur doing a nosework homework exercise at home, just searching for some treats hidden in one of many boxes. My 8 yr old rescue is fearful; she's scraed of thunder, lightening, car rides, going outside to walk on leash (seems overwhelmed by all the stimuli), and nail trims. My groomer gave me some Thera-Bites chews for calming and reducing stress. I am wondering if these chews are any good to try and if they are on the level of thunder shirts or adaptils? 02:19:50 Bloch Olesen Berit: Absolutely.you nailed it🥰 02:19:57 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Reacted to "Absolutely.you naile..." with ❤️ 02:20:34 Britt Ballr: Thank you so much! 02:21:19 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Reacted to "Thank you so much!" with ❤️ 02:22:20 H C: that would be good, I will email Debbie, thank you both! 02:22:26 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Reacted to "that would be good, ..." with ❤️ 02:22:56 Bloch Olesen Berit: Ryan would you save chat to viewing together with replay? 02:23:10 Ryan Cartlidge - ATA Founder: Reacted to "Ryan would you save ..." with ❤️ 02:24:57 Cherie Bekker: Ryan, just wondering, did I miss the ceu phrase? 02:26:50 Cherie Bekker: Thank you!
